This updated favorite hands an unfair advantage to shooters who seek to keep the upper hand in every situation from close quarters to long-range shots. The illumination dial is cleanly integrated into the side focus adjustment knob for easy access and streamlined performance. The glass-etched reticle offers shooters highly functional, intuitive, and detailed hold points, yet remains uncluttered for optimal viewing and features 10 intensity levels with off positions between each setting.

PST Gen2 5-25
First off I would like to that Mr. and Mrs. Alcorn. They were exceptional in helping me get the right product as well as applying the Vortex Military discount. The great customer service and value are the reasons that I went with this particular scope. Now for the scope information. I chose the 5-25 FFP MOA version because I planned to mount it on my Bergara HMR 6.5 CM, which I did. I matched the scope to my rifle via a Nightforce 20 MOA mount and the Vortex Precision Matched Rings in .87 height. All three items went together perfectly and were instantly comfortable. The eye relief and eye box are generous, not only at low power but at the max. Picture is super clear, I cannot tell the clarity difference between the PST and the Razor HD Gen2. The scope itself is not overly heavy but feels quality in the hand. Magnification adjustments are very smooth but will not over travel. At max magnification the edges remain clear as well. The windage and elevation knobs are tactile and precise, Vortex hit it out of the park with applying the RZR zero stop from the Gen1 Razor. This mechanical zero stop allows you to disengage and make adjustments between clicks since it disengages the detents. This means you can achieve a more accurate zero. Simply zero the scope, tighten the zero stop set screws, drop the turret back on, line up the zero line, and tighten the retaining screws on the turret. Finally step is to figure out the DOPE and run the turret up. As far as the side focus parallax adjustment, it is much easier to turn than my previous scopes but again does not over rev. The ten position illuminated reticle adjuster is perfectly placed on the parallax knob as opposed to where the Gen1 PST's switch was on the eye box. I enjoy the fact that there is an off mark in between each brightness setting. The scope is on the long side, I was a little hesitant when buying due to this fact. After installing the scope it came to my pleasure that it fits well with the 22" barrel length of the Bergara HMR. In closing, this is an amazing scope for the price especially if you are a veteran and get the discounted price. It can't be beat at either price point. Huge magnification and clear glass matched with precise and repeatable adjustments make it a for sure 5 star rating. Not to mention Vortex Optics VIP Warranty.
