It’s been awhile since I have talked about this, but for
those of you who have done custom builds, you know nothing moves fast on them,
from waiting on smith’s, to waiting on parts, the 10 months this build took is
about par for the course in my experience.
Nothing has changed, I still haven’t decided on a break, so
for now I will just cover the threads.
Load development has begun.
I’m not a big proponent of pushing rifles to the breaking point, but I
found what appears to be a flat spot in the velocity at 3200 FPS with 81.9
grains of H1000, and the 162gr ELD-x. I
only have about 40 rounds through the gun, so it’s a little early for final
development, but at least I’ll have a ballpark idea of where to look.
